In order to help you experience the best of our service, we may collect user submitted personally identifiable information (“PII”) when you use the Inizian service.
For example, we may collect your information when you create your student or tutor account, create or edit your profile, upload content (photographs, videos, lesson information, etc.), record tutoring sessions for playback, provide profile descriptions or comments, provide school information for a student or for a tutor, participate in a campaigning, contest or promotion, participate in interactive features of our service, connect or communicate with us via third party social media sites (Facebook, twitter or any other services) or third party communication tools (Skype, WeChat and any other services), send us an email, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us or communicate with other users through our service.
Such information may include your name, resident country and/or state, password, email address, and third party communication tool names for using our service. Information may be submitted to our sites, our apps, emails, telephone conversations, the third party communication tools (Skype, Zoom, WeChat and any other services) and other communication methods including but not limited to social media sites and interactive services (Facebook, Twitter and any other services) when communicating with Inizian representatives.
For students, students’ parents and students’ guardians, we may collect information related to school homework or your studies, tutor feedback as to a conducted lesson and content you upload for the purposes of transmitting it to another user or for public display to use the Inizian service. As to the detail of minors’ PII, please refer to details in the “Use of Personally Identifiable Information” and “Safety” sections.
For tutors, we may collect content you voluntarily upload for purposes of transmission to other users or publicly display on our sites, our apps, emails, telephone conversations, the third party communication tools (Skype, WeChat and any other services) and other communication methods including, but not limited to social media sites and interactive services (Facebook, Twitter and any other services).
As detailed in the “Data Transmission and Storage” section below, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on any page of our sites or our apps where we ask you to submit personally identifiable information and encrypt all such information for safe storage in our system.
We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our service. For example, we may collect information about you from other users, identity verification services, mailing list providers and publicly available sources. If you log into your account through sign-in services, like Facebook Connect or Google Authenticator, you provide Inizian with permission to access certain information about you such as your Facebook User ID, user profile, friends list, user graph and profile picture. User generated content posted through certain social networking preferences (e.g. pages you “Like” or “Follow”) may be viewed by the general public. Accordingly, Inizian cannot ensure the privacy of any PII included in such User generated content.
When you use our service, a location feature exists whereby it automatically collects your geolocation information. In such event, our service uses and shares such location to enable users to determine which users in their network are nearby. Inizian may also use location information to provide information and advertising to users. If you want to stop the automatic collection of your location information, you may do so by using the privacy setting on your browser and/or on your device.
Inizian uses industry-standard 2048-bit SSL encryption when collecting and transmitting your information through our sites and the Inizian network (collectively, the “System.”) Once information has been collected from users, we encrypt sensitive data in our database for added security. Inizian also uses firewalls and hardware monitoring across our System to protect against unauthorized access. Unfortunately, even with these measures, Inizian cannot guarantee the security of PII. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree that Inizian makes no such guarantee, and that you use our service at your own risk.
Inzian does not disclose or sell your PII without your consent or without a consent of parents or guardians for students. We may use PII or other personal information you specifically give to us: a) to provide services to you through our system, b) to process transactions, c) for identification and authentication purposes, d) to communicate with you concerning our service, our system, transactions, security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of our system, e) to improve your response to and interaction with our system, f) process and deliver contest and sweepstakes entries and rewards and verify eligibility; g) to do something you have asked us to do, or tell you of services that we think may be of interest to you; h) as to content of tutor feedback of a student; i) to personalize and improve our service and deliver and display targeted advertisements on our service, content or features in our service and on other sites; and j) for administration of and troubleshooting regarding our system. Certain third parties who provide technical support for the operation of our system or transactions may need access to such information from time to time but are not permitted to disclose such information to others. Inizian shares a minimum amount of information between tutors and students in order to connect tutors and students to conduct lessons. However, we reserve the right to release non-PII collected in aggregate.
(A) parent(s) and (a) guardian(s) of the child who is under the age of 13 or minor should pay a special attention to the child’s communication with us, tutors and other students made electronically through any of your computers, mobiles and any other devices. Although as (a) parent(s) or (a) legal guardian(s) of the child under the age of 13 or minor, you send your verifiable parental consent for COPPA to Inizian to become a member student, if you find your child’s certain PII should be removed from the Inizian site, please contact us immediately. All contacts, including tutoring lessons between a tutor and any students via third party communication tools (Skype, WeChat and any other services) should take place only in a supervised setting by an adult.
Please remember to help keep our sites or our apps secure by never sharing your login password. If you think your password may have been unsecured, please change it immediately. Inizian does not manage user ID or passwords.
Inizian may send you email communications periodically detailing new features or promotions on our sites, our apps or our services. We may also send you email messages about the status of your account or any notices as required by law. You may not opt-out of receiving these administrative emails so long as you continue to use this voluntary service. If you wish to terminate your account, please change your account status.
California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed their personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those parties.
